pretty astounding that you got stable multiplayer with text chat working for this jam

couldnt find much to do other than walk around, but the fact we can talk to folks like oldschool muds, man, we could make a little game with enough people on itch/masto signed on together

hope to see more updates!

Have updated to fix a security problem duplicating users, and reduce the client ping modifying your text. Will have a lot more after the jam!

I missed the MUD era of PC gaming since I got a computer relativity late in life. It's nice to see how they work and also nice to see a Scheme project doing so.

I was having trouble figuring out how to join. From https://mdhughes.itch.io/mudhole I followed the link to http://cyberhole.online:8080/cyberhole/mudhole/MudholeHelp.html and thence to https://cyberhole.online/mudhole/. But that one didn’t let me create an account—it just responded null.

http://cyberhole.online:8080/cyberhole/mudhole/ is the URL I should have been using. That’s where I was able to create an account and found some other users already in the world.

Nice, evocative room and exit descriptions!

Updates are a bit bothersome -- sometimes my keystrokes were captured by input field, others they were reproduced in the feedback area. Would be nice if there were a few more predefined places to go. Keyboard for mobile users was a nice touch. Hope you get to develop it more!

Awesome that you created a multiplayer in-browser MUD in a jam (with lisp). We should coordinate a game of hide-and-seek or something.
