You've got some good fundamentals for a 3D platformer. Unfortunately there's nothing to do in the demo. I hope you develop the idea further.

  • The dive feels stiff. Give it some upwards force and allow limited steering.
  • Repeatedly diving is much faster than sprinting.
  • Needs an impact animation when hitting something while diving.
  • The turn-around jump isn't noticeably higher than a normal jump and doesn't let you grab ledges, so it just seems detrimental.
  • Needs some equivalent to Mario's long jump. The jump button not doing anything until you've come a full stop or let go of the movement keys when crouching feels clunky.
  • The character should only wall slide if you're moving towards the surface within a certain angle range.

Graphics look great.

Controls are fine but there is one thing that bothers me. When pressing the run button regardless of whether the player is on the ground or not their movement speed will increase. This could potentially mess with precise platforming, as unlike the trail effects when running on the ground, there isn't a visual indicator that the player's movement speed is increased in the air while holding the run button.

It's adorable and chukleworthy.

The art style is great.

As for controls they are very solid. I'm not sure I like the slow acceleration the game has, but it kinda works when you need precision while walking on the fences. Jumping while hugging a wall is weird, as it quickly triggers wall grab but I wish it would allow me to perform a ledge grab instead without having to back off first. You could boost friction on landing because right now landing on a fence will usually make you fall off due to minor momentum. Played with mouse and keyboard and I'm not knowledgeable about 3d platformers, but I don't like the way camera turns while walking to the sides/diagonally (and it doesn't happen while walking back) - can't just walk around while keeping camera focused on some object or direction comfortably.

Mouse sensitivity needs to be in the settings.

Pretty good tech demo overall. Project BS when?

Super charming style.

Not much to give feedback on since it's a movement prototype, but I did notice that pressing forward while hanging from a wall hang will not let you clear the ledge, you need to jump and then press forward which is a little clunky.

Also I have no idea how to do the cartwheel reliably.

Since you can jump forward after a dive I feel like you should also be able to jump forward from a slide.

The controls are solid overall I'm looking forward to playing an actual level.

The graphics, artstyle and animations look superb. Did you make all of this?

The camera feels off when playing with mouse and keyboard. I don't like that it turns based on your movement input. Feels like a mechanic for controllers.

I'm disappointed there's no collision box on top of the electric wires so I can run on them.

The character controls well. I like how running feels. I wish you could grab the ledges of the roof when climbing on a house.

The character is cute, the art style is good, the movement is good but you should expand her moveset, in fact, if you make this game a "super mario 64 with cute protagonist" it will be a success.  

Also, I find this bug where the UI gets covered if the 3D meshes are very close to the camera, its very notorious when the camera is inside a tree, but it happens with other 3D meshes.

Very cute!  Controls well and didn't find any issues with it in the short demo.  Adorable outfits.
