Thanks for playing. The level was haphazardly thrown together and a lot of things don't work the way I want. But it seems like everyone wants more speed and less shit slowing them down.
I played your game with a xbos controller, I like the idea of your game but honestly the lack of control when I want to change direction with the character is annoying, specially because the obstacles are very close to each other which require a precision is hard to deliver. I think that should be the first part you wanna address if you want to improve the game, maybe check games like 1080 avalanche or Tony Hawk Downhill Jam to get some ideas on that regard.
Another opinion I have (is just a personally idea) is: make the game with a futuristic design, something like Nitronic Rush, I think it will fit very well. You can check that game if you want, if I recall, it's free and I think is similar to what you want to make: a single player game with many tracks with many obstacles.
I played this with a keyboard, it would probably feel better on a gamepad.
Top speed feels kinda slow.
Rail jumping works well but that the momentum is cancelled while you're in the air feels weird. If you jump at the last moment you'll land on the other rail and go the other way.
Turning around with the arrow keys and then landing should orient you towards that direction too, and crash if you land on your head obviously.
The speed of the game is something I'm still working on. I thought I fixed that rail jumping bug, I'll have to test it some more. I'm torn on having the player bail on a bad landing, but I do want to have a mechanic tied to a good landing to encourage doing tricks.

More speed definitely increases fun factor

The precision and dealing with obstacles seems to be recurring issue for players. I'll have to rethink how I build levels.
And I've played Distance, which is the follow-up to Nitronic Rush and it's had a good amount of influence on the project so far.
