Its a nice style, I really like how it looks, but it feels more like trying to play a quick time event than a rhythm game

Great game, had a lot of fun with it. Here's a link to my playthrough of it https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1180728448?t=00h14m51s

I really don't know what's about press and hold button. I liked the bass tho ;) cheers

While holding the buttons first (depending on controller setup) you then press the arrows, in that order, to play the guitar. Think of a real guitar, you hold down a chord shape (button like A,B,X,Y for Xbox Controller Setup) and then strum in a direction or pluck strings in a certain flow of direction (Arrow Keys). That was the idea, however I noticed you can soft press a button and then an arrow without having to keep holding down the button.

The music sounds really good when it's playing. Like what was mentioned previously, the sudden starts an stops are jarring. Definitely having a next note preview would help, there's no way my awful reaction time can get this to sound right heh. I hope you continue to improve this and get it to flow nicely, it's definitely a great start.

Oh and that art is just fantastic. Really great job!

I was deemed a legend !!!
I like the simple bass/drum/guitar music, pretty efficient. I would have loved to have a sneak peak at the next note (à la Guitar Hero) to make the guitar flow a little bit better with the rest of the song. Otherwise, the music feels interrupted.

Good use of adaptive music!
And I'm digging the hand-drawn art ! It gives a style to the game.
Good job on your submission

Cool, Legends are made not born.

Thanks, It’s two tracks that swap interchangeably. The bass was myself playing against a drum machine app and a garage band guitar 🎸 instrument. Kinda like Man Vs Machine as it was a bit hard to get the guitar to fit a human player, so I just randomly strummed an arpeggiated melody with the garage band guitar. Your right, I think next time I get back to improving this, I’ll try see how to play with volume so it feels like the strings keep oscillating even after you input something. I’m happy you liked the hand drawn art, I was inspired by of course Jimi Hendrix for the character design but wanted a more underdog type of character.
