Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
I found this game oddly charming. The historical fun facts were a nice touch
Thanks! I really appreciate that!
I like how the story drives the gameplay forward. I was confused at first when I watched a little bit of your devlog video and then started my play through... I couldn't jump! After sorting that out a few minutes later it was all good.
I liked that you implemented a variable jump for your player character, but the overall feel of the platforming and player movement was a bit off for me. Navigating up from the tunnels felt slower than maybe it should have because of the combination of speed and jumping dynamics.
Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Thanks for the feedback! I originally wanted to make a metroidvania, but quickly realized I didn't have time. I've always thought it would be funny to start a metroidvania without a jump
I think it's actually an awesome idea to make the player earn that jump, but I do think some kind of hint or feedback to the player that their jumping ability is yet to be found could be helpful—especially given that jumping is so ubiquitous in the genre. It would have saved me some grief for sure!
Very fun adventure game.
Thanks!
I liked how you tied the theme and story together and kept it cohesive. Good job!
Thanks!
