Big respect for standing behind intentional design decisions, and I think you def accomplished what you set out to do!

(1 edit)

Thanks! It needs a lot of polish because the only thing I've mastered in game dev so far is dramatically over-scoping my projects vs time constraints lmao

Thank you so much for playing and the constructive feedback! It def needs some work and I had to cut a lot to have *something* to turn in. The movement is supposed to be very slow, grindy, uncomfortable, and unfun, as weird as that sounds. Hopefully it will work better (and feel more cohesive) when the game is less sparse and minimal down the line lol

Haha, no I grabbed it off pixbay. They sound different because one is reversed (I'm probably gna down pitch it and reverb it post-jam, just to make it more crunchy and weird)

Thank you for playing! It still needs some time in the oven, but I'm glad you enjoyed what's there!

I really like the cool weird retro aesthetic. I thought the dramatic shift in art style between zones was also really cool. Overall, I really liked the vibe of the game and it plays well

The movement and controls felt very smooth and responsive. I would have liked to see a stat explanation in game or on the page after the start because I almost got soft locked from not being able to hit and couldn't remember if it was dex or agi to increase hit. Overall, well done!

I really loved the music tracks and the overall polish. Movement felt really great and the art and dungeon style was very cohesive. Great job!

The art style was super great and the game felt really polished overall. The music was good, the combat felt fun and responsive, and everything worked super well together. Great job!

I loved the art and design overall, very cool! It was very disorienting to try to get around though and I would have really appreciated a map of where I had been or the like. Great job!

I really loved the art style, super cool. I had a little trouble figuring out the menu controls, but overall I really like what you got here.

Really fun game and I liked your mix of deck builder and dungeon crawler. There was def a power creep, since I could just put all my upgrades into one damage chicken and 1 shot all but 1 enemy. Overall, I really liked the vibes, the lighting, and the polish. Great job!

Really great vibe overall. Post-processed crunchiness and that PSX vibe with only a flashlight. Really liked how you managed to create tension with simplicity

You really nailed the animations. They're all super crisp, clean, and expressive, and your use of the palette made everything looks very cohesive!

These are super cool, very expressive and unique style and I really dig it!

I really like the bubbly, cloud-like style to the hairdo. Great job overall.

You managed to really take the color restrictions and run with them. It's super cool and I really dig the creepy underwater vibes.

Very cool and very cohesive set! I also really liked the demo scene (would play full game lol)

Great use of the palette. You really nailed the gesture on the figures as well!

Super cute mouse and I really love the composition of the eyes in the dark.

This badger is about to commit crimes and I am totally here for it

Super cool concept! I dig the cursed vibe a lot and it's very expressive. It's a little flat, but overall I really love the design!

I really love the movement and great use of the palette!

I think you've got a good core here and I can definitely see what you were trying to go for. Keep at it!

I'm going to echo what others have said, the camera is a major problem, even touching my mouse made it spin out of control. However, I really liked the concept overall (and kudos for doing a 3D game!), and I think the art and ambiance are both great. Would definitely check back and play again once the camera is fixed!

I really like what you've got here but I super-duper suck at anything other than the first level. I would love to see something like guitar hero or beat saber where you can miss a certain number of notes so you can learn the song. Overall, I really liked your concept! Good work!

Some great level designs and I really liked your art direction. Really great take on reflection puzzles!

Really cute art direction and great sound too! Really cool use of the theme as well, great job!

Very unique idea and creative take on the theme! Gets really fast paced if you turn up that ad budget lol

Great job, especially given your fast turn-around!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I'll push more content after voting ends and I hope you'll swing by!

Thank you! <3

Thank you so much!

Yeah, it just kinda abruptly ends in an MS paint fever dream because those are still just placeholders from when I realized I only had like 20 minutes left to build and submit lol. Thank you for your positive feedback and I hope you'll swing by to see the finished project!

I didn't prioritize my time well and I am a noob lol (I have learned a lot with this tho) Thank you for the positive feedback!

Thank you! I'll have it fully finished in a future update and I hope you'll come check it out!

Thank you! Yeah, I spent too much time on the art and animation and didn't give myself enough time to actually make much headway on the game part lol (I have learned valuable lessons about scoping). I hope you'll come back when it's done!

Was thinking of giving the 2025 Crawler Jam a shot and wanted to see the previous year's submissions, and I gotta say, wow. Really enjoyed playing this all the way through. Still a noob in game design, but it was great seeing how cohesive everything was and the number of elements that worked so well together. Keep up the great work!

I really liked the quick, floaty movements, gave it a very "hyper" vibe. Overall, very tight and a lot of fun. I am also a big fan of the 1-bit style graphics and the chill chip-tunes. Great job!

I had to pull myself away. Super fun design, very intuitive and easy to learn. Lots of emergent strategy and the numerical craziness that draws me in to games like vampire survivors and balatro. Very well done!
