Game is awesome. Reminds me of Virtua Cop a bit. One question though. How can I turn off the crosshairs?? Thanks again for the amazing game

Developer(+1)

There is not an option to turn off the crosshairs in the settings menu. However your question has given me some room for thinking about the future potential to allow for customisation of the crosshairs. That is not something that I had considered previously and I can look into it. Thanks for playing. :)

that would be awesome.  Thanks again

I thought there was a good balance of healthkits, it seemed like when I needed them, they were available. I didn't notice any bugs. Sometimes the guys on the floor would trip me up, I'd think they were dead guys down there, but they were alive and shooting at me.

Developer

That is good for me to hear. Balancing the healthkits was an issue for me and I was worried that perhaps in places I overdid it. Thank you for playing the game. :)

So, so good!

I really enjoyed the variety of fights you were able to get - one minute I was up close and personal, having to quickly move the cursor the full width of the screen in order to reach my new target, the next I was fighting at a distance and having to finely tune my aim. The pacing was spot on, with just enough downtime to have chance to breath, but never so much that the tension dropped.

Sound design is great, with the pounding drums driving the action while really evoking the era, and enough audio cues to know to take care when a hostage is about to enter the screen.

By comparison to the original, this version has a glossy smooth response which is a big improvement, at least on my computer.

I remember playing the original game this summer during the HPS1 gamejam. The game progressed a lot since that time, congrats on that ! I don't know why but it reminds to me the era of flash games in the early 20's. Those games were often really strange and I think it's interesting that your game leans toward that.

The game is still hard has nail but more balanced than the old entry. I noticed that sometimes  enemies not killed and off the screen  can still shoot me, don't know if it's a bug or intented but it's ads a lot of tension to the fights :) Keep it up !

Thanks for the compliments and thank you for playing the previous iteration of this project! The difficulty is a hard point to balance with the current system so I'm glad to hear that you found this more balanced. :)

Unfortunately despite the added tension what you have described is a bug. The ability for the ai to shoot outside of their points of action is meant to be turned off but the line of code seems to have been skipped or interrupted somehow in that instance. My initial theory behind the cause proved inconclusive so I will just have to keep a note on it for now. Once again thanks for the feedback. :)

I can see the cursor, hear the gunshots, but other than that  all I can see is black.. I'll try again to get it to work before rating.

Developer

Strange, not quite sure why that would be happening for you. Hopefully it's just a faulty download. :)
