Cool! The concept was really cool and interesting, but the gameplay was kinda confusing and hard to understand. I liked the trail you left as you skate. I think with a bit more polish this could be awesome! Nice work, dude!

Nice concept! Would love to see this expanded with music and sound and some more gameplay options.  Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you for playing. Agreed with your points, working on it :D Keep up the good work too.

An interesting  concept and definitely an original take on the theme, as I didn't notice any other ice skating games. Couple of improvements:

I think you should replace the "How To Play?" button with a screen appearing after you click play that explains the controls. It's hard to grasp the controls by oneself, so clicking the button is mandatory anyway.

I would definitely like to see the trick mechanic improved upon, because for now it's only a matter of clicking one button in the correct time and there isn't any visual feedback.

It's definitely not something I would have expected to see in a game jam, but if you wanted to work on the game after this jam, I think that adding a leaderboard with highest scores could go a long way.

Overall, I think you made a very strong basis for an interesting game as I liked the movement mechanics a lot after getting used to them. Adding music, animations, and more tricks could definitely make this an amazing game. Good luck on your future projects!

Thank you for such detailed feedback. You are definitely right about the controls, what I have read from other people, they are quite tricky, so the controls explanation is mandatory and I need to communicate it better.

The trick mechanic is a little bit boring right now, but it has a basis that can be built on. So I will definitely revise it.

Leaderboard should have been there from the start, but I run out of time, leaderboard is in progress. After adding more levels, each should have own leaderboard.

Sounds, music, animations will be coming, hopefully after the rating period is over with the first update. I would like to finish this project to the end, would be pity if not.

Thank you again for such comprehensive feedback, really appreciate it. I am glad you enjoyed the game. Good luck to you too.

The idea is interesting, but without animations and music you don’t want to play for long.

Developer

Thank you for playing. I agree with you. I will be adding those after rating period is over.

It was hard to understand at first but finally got it . Simple but fun minigame.

Developer

Thank you! Im glad you had fun. Yep, its tricky at the beginning, so thanks for not giving up :D It needs more content, but hopefully, I'll have some soon.

Found it tricky at first but once I got into it is was a lot of fun!

Thanks a lot. I look forward to seeing yours too!

The player character is a bit tough to control at first, but overall it's enjoyable.

Developer

Thank you for playing. Meant to be little tough from start, bigger satisfaction when you master it :D I hope its not discouraging :)

Sliding around is pretty fun in this game, but I would love to see the trick mechanics have more depth, its quite easy to rack up points even while standing still! I'd also love if the arena had more space, allowing the player to make larger circles and swing about more. A neat idea here, just needs a little more to it.

Thank you for feedback and playing. Yep, the trick mechanic is quite rough now. Just a basic starting point that can be build on. The idea behind the accumulating the points was, if you are slow the hit bar will be at start of slider (harder to hit) and give you less points, but you wont hit the wall, so is easier to get points, if you are faster it will be farther (easier to hit), but higher chance to hit the wall, but with the risk you get more points. I think the awarding curve of earning those points should be more strict. Didnt really have much time to playtest it :D
The arena does need work. Planning to add more levels for player to make highscores.
Thank you again, hope you enjoyed :)
