The music & sound effects were unexpected! It's fun to build up speed to do more damage, I like that.

Very original concept! Found myself well engaged. However I think it could use a polish on the art and controls. Overall enjoyable game.

I love it! I wish that the pawns spawned in different areas rather than very close to the king but I can't really be talking since my game does a bit of that. Also, I think it would be better if you added pawns with even more health so that there are more damage thresholds or more enemies entirely! Lorewise, I think the rook and king are in a gay relationship, so you should let me know your thoughts on the story.

Very funny game. I love the cymbals when you hit something.

I was a little confused at first how far away the king was, I thought he was just following me at the edge of the screen. Maybe you could add an arrow when he's offscreen to make that more clear.
