Interesting Rome trivia, but the gameplay loop is repetitive and somewhat boring. Each event is the same every time, with the only real differences being whether you have the right kind of animal to use in some of them. I genuinely dreaded the arrival of Saturnalia, because it was a boring event that required either spending a large amount of money or a small hit to the two prestige meters. Clawing your way up the socioeconomic ladder is not particularly engaging, as it mostly consists of hitting the Next Turn button and occasionally clicking through an event or buying a bit more property; the latter of which, I should add, can take quite a long time to accrue if you get unlucky with the random income modifiers or taxation events. Ultimately, its an alright idea for a game, with pretty middling execution.
