That's a VERY good Rick Dangerous modern rework. And I'm a big fan of Rick Dangerous, believe me :) I always wondered how to make such a hardcore title in a more modern, and I'm pretty confident you did it right. However, I would suggest to be a little bit more generous on your save points, especially at the begining. I think current balance isn't quite as good as you other design choices (such as ammo balancing, or disk puzzles).
