Pretty good from what I played. The characterization of the main character's war experience making him be extremely skeptical and hostile of the intentions of the human's enemies, shown with the demonfolk, seem realistic and believable. Some authors would just use our world's standards on relationships or would just let the character who said it apologize 5 lines later for being mean to some other character. I hope this trait is explored and as the story progresses since it with MC keeping his distrustful side as he meets new kinds of people would be unique.
Two minor problems I have: Characters use profanity way too much. It kinda breaks immersion a bit for me since it's a fantasy world. If it was reserved for when characters are feeling intense emotion (like the scene where everyone in town disappears) and used sparingly would be better. Every other time I clicked it felt like fuck or ass would appear.
The demon girl sometime contradicted herself on her own backstory. Since she was raised away from demon culture, shouldn't she not know those things? For example, with the scene where she changes clothes, I inferred with her conversation her choosing pants to travel with is due to some demon custom. How would she know that if she's a demon who was raised with human sensibilities in the human village? I mean, she can be raised by demons or the more likely option adopted by humans who happened to know an influx on demon culture, but wouldn't she just explain that to MC to ease his distrust of her.
