SuperSebbl rated Theia: The Crimson Eclipse

A downloadable game for Windows.

Triple A Maker material

This can easily be recommended to everybody who likes JRPGs - say if you like Final Fantasy 6 you automatically like this game.

Some things I liked:
- The story is a blast. Cannot say much about it and avoid spoilers. It's consistent, atmospheric and pretty thrilling. The games does a good job with its pacing. One negative thing: The pacing is too slow in the beginning of the game. You get lorebombed although 90% of the information is irrelevant at this point. That's a nitpick though - really nothing else to complain about

- The standard ATB Battle System gets enhanced by an Exceed bar and a Mastery bar. Exceed is your classical Limit Break like you have in Final Fantasy 7 oder 10. (The animations are super well done btw and show how much detail goes into this game)
The Mastery bar has 3 Levels and depending on which Level you decided for it to active, you get a higher buff. It's harder to get it to Level 3 than to Level 1, but the Level 1 buff isn't nearly as good.
Another thing which makes the battles cool: The overall animations and details. It gives a very nice touch to the standard RM2k3 system.

Also, the game has 4 languages!!! This is rare and an extreme effort for RPGMaker games! I recommend everybody to play the German version :P
