Holy cow, this is a blast to play. This is exactly the sort of thing I want to see more of from action games; combining mobility, verticality, and melee and ranged combat for absolute slaughterfests and climactic battles against titanic foes. Sliding and grappling around feel fantastic and the feedback on the sword and gun are really satisfying.
I have a couple of complaints. Firstly, the gun feels pretty pointless; most common enemies can be disregarded except for heat purposes and only the bosses really matter, and the bosses need to have their armour removed by melee attacks anyway. Secondly, the bomb bugs are really cheap sources of damage; you go so fast that they're hard to react to. I'd like for the bomb bugs to be removed and for the other enemies to be buffed so that they're actual threats that demand the player's attention.
I'd love to see this game expounded on. I'd love to see different types of bosses with different behaviours and abilities. I'd enjoy seeing different enemy types that challenge the player in different ways. I'd be happy to see more utility for the gun. Whoever made this game, I'm really glad I gave this a go.
