A rougelike with a touch of Pokemon. Loved the character design, but started getting a little bored of the repetition. I thought the game I was playing was just the first section of a much larger project and anticipated different landscapes, monsters, and companions in later levels--levels which do not exist. This led me to do more grinding and completionist exploring than I would have had I known it was just this one part.
That said, as a proof-of-concept, it works great. I thought I was at the start of a much larger game and would happily play that game. Feels like there's an ambition towards a larger project here, a setting established and imagined yet not fully explored in this preview. Absolutely want to see what grows from this.
