Pretty, but fairly basic in many ways.
Story:
The forest is good and robots are bad. There's a little more to it with some magic and such but that's pretty much it.
Visuals:
The Robot designs are simple, but charming. My only complaint about them is I wish the game had incorporated the robot designs into the environment, which was otherwise pleasant but a fairly bland forest with some stone stairs dotted around. The protagonist's design I quite liked until I saw the dialogue scenes, as they have visual novel style portraits which show you the characters face. I'm fine with VN portraits, that's not the issue, the issue is the art style feels a bit jarring and out of place (perhaps due to the sketchiness of it in comparison with the traditional realism of the games' 3D art style, and in addition you get to see that the protagonist is wearing a weird mask that looks like it was intended to be cool but is actually just kinda ugly and uninteresting.
Gameplay:
It's...fine? You aim and shoot robots with your bow and dodge their attacks. You can also run, but most of the time you'll just wanna slowly strafe as you aim at and shoot enemies who attack in predictable straight lines and then you can dodge out of the way, so there's not much variety in gameplay. I think the glowy eyes are meant to be weak points on the robots but I'm honestly not sure, as even then it takes a few hits to kill them, and it is a little difficult to hit the eye reliably.
I...thought I was supposed to collect some glowy leaves I kept finding around the map but I couldn't actually figure out a) if I'd collected all of them and b) if collecting them actually did anything. As far as I could tell, they did not.
Overall it was a short middling game, and a fine distraction for less than an hour. For a studios first game, it's a decent attempt, and I hope they learn and build on what they've made here.
