Favorite game of 2022

It's a cute little game about lesbians who fight monsters and it lives in your phone! The sprite visuals look great without eating my battery like a chicken nugget, the soundtrack bumps, and the controls feel wonderful (I read the devlog about making the controls, the hold-and-release system is genius). The game isn't easy, but battles are short and retries are instant, so you can still try a boss a few times in a row and then beat it over the course of a short bus ride, with little or no frustration. Bosses telegraph attacks with short enough notice that you can't get lazy, but you always have enough time that the game never feels unfair. The girlfriends are adorable and I love the whole cast of characters. Best game of the year.
