This was my first tarot-driven game and I played with my Alleyman's deck, so I probably got a more chaotic range of prompt inspiration than if I was using a standard, single-theme tarot deck. I also ended up practically writing a novel.
Living in the era we are, I think many of us might have some Stuff to work through regarding feeling trapped in world where we merely experience events rather than influence them, a world where our choices sometimes feel reduced to a pre-decided range of things that happen to us, and damned if playing through Habitrails didn't validate a shit ton of those feelings for me. It was illuminating to formally learn that given everything that's been going down, apparently my brain's coping strategy of choice has become a sort of Ha! Okay, sure, seems like that's happening now, I guess I'll do my best flavor of 'zen-nihilism.' Honestly, I'm cool with that and it's neat to know.
