How would I add a fan translation?

Hey, Japanese speaker here, I absolutely love the game so far (haven't beaten it yet). I was just wondering if I were do do a fan translation, how would it be added? I read the devlog saying translations were ok but I'm not sure if I'm meant to submit it somewhere or add it in my self (don't know if I'd be able to do that cause I have no experience in technical stuff). Still not completely sure if I actually want to translate the whole game since it'll probably take a while but I was just curious how one would be added.

Through pain and tears. All dialogues embedded in the map files. And fonts does not support Japanese symbols
Temmie is sweetheart, but rpgmaker localization just literal hell

Is there a way to change the font to something that does support Japanese characters?

The font can now: https://itch.io/t/899982/tutorial-advice-how-to-create-a-fan-translation

There is a tool called translator ++ that seems to be able to do a pretty good job at it. For changing the font, I have an idea for a terrible solution, which might or might not work, but I'll mess around and see if I can get something working. If I can get it to work, there might be a solution! Although it might only support hiragana, simply because there are too many kanji to fit in. But I'll see what I can do!

I actually did some research and also found translator++ which seems to work pretty well. I was able to extract all the game’s text and experimented by translating a bit if dialogue to Japanese. As expected, when I exported it to the game and tested it, the text just became blank. So yeah, the font is gonna have to change. I’ll be looking forward to hearing your solution if you get it to work.

Alright, I figured it out, and I have made a slight tutorial of it for peoples future reference. It took like 4 hours to make, and will take you a billion years to get through, but it is at least something: https://itch.io/t/899982/tutorial-advice-how-to-create-a-fan-translation
