Time by time i am receiving reviews from players who has very basic knowledge about things they are writing.
They don't read forums, so they don't understand many things/decisions.

Since you have this 5 star rating system, where players like experts must rate games, they usually give you lower rating because, again "they don't understand many things/decisions" and we don't have any way to explain...

Can you add reply in reviews?

Yes, we will be adding this at some point. Sorry it’s causing issues now. Just for clarification, reviews & ratings have limited limited on your visibility on the site. A bad rating will not cause your game to be undiscoverable. We intentionally downplay them because they are fundamentally flawed, and we’re not happy with how our system works. In the meantime:

  • If you see someone doing something bad: report the review so we can investigate it
  • Encourage people who have played and enjoyed your work to rate & review. People who are upset are more likely to go out of their way to leave a review or rating, so the other players you should try to give a nudge

Thanks

Talking about visibility on Itch... you recently changed something and now TOP is full with paid games.

Is this permanent change, or temporal?

Admin

Not sure what you’re talking about, we haven’t recently changed anything. Which page are you referring to?

Top Multiplayer (by Popularity)

It's strange to see so many paid games in top. From Top 12 games 9 are paid games.

My game is now on place 48 (even if before it was in top 15 pretty much all the time) and above are 33 paid games (what i have never seen before). And my stats are not worse then month ago, or 3 months ago.

EDIT: and maybe you can explain how game with price 420$ (with zero sales?) can be higher in popularity, then F2P game with 300+ daily downloads?

You realise that the $420 game could be receiving more views than Skillwarz?

Also i noticed that last 2 days (maybe more) order of games (by popularity) is not changing. And from my experience on this site, it's not normal.
