When you say this game is in Beta, what does that mean for this project? Does that mean that most or all of the content is there and you're just working out bugs? Does it mean you have some number of chapters completed but not an ending? If the story isn't complete, around when do you estimate it might be?

Developer

The content/story is all here! I'm mostly debugging & tweaking things.

I have played through the whole game and reported about 5 bugs. Hope it helps. I tried to catch some of the weirder ones on video but I wasn't sure how to reproduce most of them. I may try again later.

Very appriciated!

Great work on this game! It was brought to my attention thanks to Camirisu's Let's Play of the demo a long while ago. I love how modern it feels while giving me the nostalgic sensation of playing what could have been a little known Gameboy Color game I would have devoured as a kid. I was gonna ask what game engine or program you used for development of the game. Was it that G.Mini project you have?

Developer

No, I'm using Rpg Maker MV & a bunch of home made Javascript plugins. I'd love to switch to G.mini for game developing at some point, but the engine isn't powerful enough to made a full scale game just yet. Also, thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself

Hello! I love playing Lockheart Indigo, and I was wondering if you had any plans to officially port it to Linux.  I understand if you don't, as there are a lot of issues that may arise when trying to port games to other operating systems, but I thought I'd ask anyway.  Good luck with development!

I don't think I will, but thank you for the interest.

If you don't, it's OK.  I still have the ability to play it through compatibility layers (which I have already tested), so no worries!

I know this convo is old, but what RM plugins did you use? I'm curious to know how you made the interface for the menus and battle system different from the default. Also, sorry if you said it somewhere already.

Developer (1 edit)

The Battle System AND the menus are but just a lot of eventing, pictures & some code of my own. (Hence, why it bugs sometimes ;3;) I did use SRD's picture Choices Plugin for the battles. I also usea mod'd version of Yoji Ojima's Monster Book plugin for the Keys & Skill menu.

Hope this helps! :D

Tysm!! :)
