I originally bought this game 2 months ago, 45 days ago, an update caused it to stop working on my Surface, apparently due to an issue with unreal 4.14 engine. Unreal has been updated to 4.15 in February. and still no joy. I did use the Steam Key to improve the ability to download, however, still waiting to play again....

Can you post your system specs from both DXDIag and Steam-Help-System Information

QuestMaster, the Surface is below minimum spec; you'll need to get a refund. We won't be able to upgrade to UE 4.15 before launch due to the need to keep in sync with the console engine version. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I purchased the game through itch, how would I go about getting a refund?

I'd e-mail their support about it. If that doesn't work after a week or so, ping us and we'll make sure you get taken care of.

Additionally, the game worked great until the February update.

Yep. It's unfortunate that that bug in Unreal caused this issue; I used to be able to play it on my Surface Pro 4 as well. Not much to be done, though, I'm afraid.

@QuesTMaster good luck, you are dealing with people who don't understand that they should first contact Steam before they tell people to go there and use a "key" for this stupid game. They put up on there site "go to steam we are not supporting are own unfinished game anymore" yet Steam knows nothing about this. What kind of idiot does this. Or worse human garbage.

Here's a screenshot of Aven Colony on Steam right now. Literally thousands of people are playing it through Steam this way.

Games can be on Steam without necessarily being visible in the Steam Store. Also, it's probably not a good idea to go calling people "idiots" and "human garbage."
