How To Fix False Page Quarantine

My game page: https://shawnsvn.itch.io/tfs has been Quarantined for several days , which has cost significant damage to my Game:The Fallen Sorcerer and my reputation.

This is my debut release , and as it is unlikely to be pushed by the itch.io algorithm , I decided to share the game link on Facebook and other social media and it went viral and  the game had over 1.5 million impressions2,000 comments5,000 reactions from Facebook.  People were showing interest and had a very positive impression on the game. Until the page quarantine  message showed and people freaked  out and decided to not visit the link anymore.

The Quarantine notice does not explain what triggered it and doesn't show when I try to download myself which made me as dev very confused . I’ve followed all rules, uploaded safe builds, and built everything from scratch.

The Situation is not just very Frustrating but   it’s disheartening for a creator trying to build trust with their audience on your platform.

I've contacted the itch.io via email but so far  no reply. But Wanna understand what caused this issue and how to be safe next time.

You have a strange definition of going viral. https://www.google.com/search?q=link:https://shawnsvn.itch.io/tfs

You got 700 smileys from your developer group and the post was shared 22 times. Adult visual novels with ai images typically do not go viral.

Anyway, if the game really went viral, chances are, that Itch will work faster on the quarantine issue than for similar games with less traffic.

No one will tell you why the game was put in quarantine. It defeats the purpose to tell actual malware uploades why they are under suspicion. It is the standard quarantine message. That's the same for all quarantined games.

Some general information here https://itch.io/t/4120453/unofficial-search-and-indexing-faq , but mind you, your account is 11 days old and people will typically wait several weeks for getting indexed, unquarantined and so on.

Thank You.

The game shared from my profile has significantly better reach.,My main concern is the quarantine issue. I need to understand the reason for the warning to properly build the next package.

The reason for the warning is, that the game is in quarantine.

No one with authority will tell you why it is in quarantine.

I already told this, hence I guess a translation issue. I highlighted the reason why you will not be told the exact reasons.

And I want to add, that there is hundreds of malware uploaded on Itch per week. Some more obvious than others: https://itch.io/t/1659440/psa-beware-the-try-my-game-scam .
