Need Feedback on 2D Action Platformer

About the game: We’re building a modernized retro 2D action-platformer. You play as the last surviving dwarf, venturing into a world scattered with the ruins of a once-great dwarven civilization. Each discovery pulls you deeper into the mystery of what happened to your people, blending fast-paced platforming with atmospheric storytelling

This is a working demo of our concept. Enjoy.

Keyboard Controls: A and D to move. J to attack, and Spacebar to jump. Controller: Dpad or Joysticl to move, X (square) to attack and A (cross) to jump

Feedback Let us know what you think of the current movement system, attack, jump, and 2 enemy types. We will be expanding these systems as we move along and would love some feedback on there current states.

Hey Ciejay,

I noticed the build’s set up with Opera GX-only launch — any chance you could make a standard HTML5/PlayCanvas/WebGL version so testers can access it cross-browser? Testing across multiple browsers helps catch unexpected bugs and improves the experience for all players. I’ve got Chrome, Safari, and Firefox ready.

Thank you - excited to play and try the game out as the last remaining dwarf!

Hey Ciejay,

Visually, the game looks fantastic! I commend you for a job well done on the art and animation. I would definitely like to highlight some keys points:

1) I was able to play this game on Google Chrome for a bit, before running into a browser issue or compatibility issue in which I had to reload the game due to a "crash" if you will.

2) As mentioned, art and animations are stunning! You did a fantastic job!

3) The controls mentioned say that "Space" is to Attack and "J" is to Jump, however, the controls are reversed. They still work well, thankfully, but just a small adjustment will fix that right up. :)

You're doing a fantastic job, and from one game dev to another, I am so proud of you and wish you well on your developmental journey. Feel free to reach out to me for future updates and if you need more feedback!

Have a fantastic day,

Jonathan Pirone
