[Godot] [Programmer] Team looking for coder to join cozy idle/lofi game (Unpaid, Steam release)

Hello! We’re looking for a programmer to join our project.

We are a 2D artist/animator and a composer/sound designer, and we’d like to collaborate with a coder to bring a small but polished game to life. This is not a paid position—it’s a collaboration with the goal of releasing a commercial-quality game on Steam and strengthening our portfolios.

About the Game

The project is a relaxing idle game starring a young witch in a cozy forest cottage. She studies, creates magical creatures, cares for them in customizable environments, and explores to collect materials.

We aim to deliver a chill, visually appealing experience with lo-fi music and smooth looping animations—something simple, realistic to complete, and enjoyable to play in the background.

We already have a GDD, concept art, sprites, backgrounds, music, and SFX.
Here’s a short sample video (WIP mockup):

What We’re Looking For

  • Engine: Godot (required).

  • Commitment: while this is unpaid, we’re serious about finishing the game.

  • Bonus: being a Spanish speaker (not mandatory).

This project could be a good fit for students, beginners, or even experienced devs who want to add a finished game to their portfolio.

This game looks so cozy! I really like it. I have 3 years of experience with Godot and can work on any kind of game. I’d be happy to help, but before we start, I have a quick question about payment. I understand it’s unpaid, but is there any possibility of revenue sharing?

(+1)

The idea is to release the game on Steam as a free-to-play title, so no payment is expected.

This opportunity is for someone who wants to improve their portfolio by adding a completed commercial game, along with all the advantages that come with it.
We don’t want to create false expectations by promising money. The goal is to gain demonstrable experience for future job opportunities.

Oh okay, good luck with your project! But, I won't able to work then. I am currently busy working on some horror games to grow my portfolio

Hello, are you still looking for a programmer? I think I can help and I'm also looking for new projects to add to my portfolio.
Here's a sample project I have done that is probably most similar to what you're looking for: https://noel-k.itch.io/fix-your-clothes

I'm very familiar with Godot and pixel art games as well. I sent you a friend request on discord as well.

Espero poder ayudarte con tu proyecto! ^^

Closed, for now we already have coder
