I've made a new release for my game and respective major devlog. However the game never appeared in the most recent games.

All the traffic I have is mostly external to itch. It's been more than a month since my last update so Im hardly spamming anything.

Could someone please help?

You just posted those updates. It's unlikely they can be approved that quickly.

Thanks for the response. I have no idea on the timeframe.

So, you previously did get a bump, if I read that correctly.

Those major devlogs need staff aproval. Why and what and when they approve is not known. Most devlogs are not approved. The recent would be 99% old games otherwise and that is not the purpose of that section.

I did not do an extensive statistic, but when I did look at that, I got the impression that maybe less than 20% are approved and maybe every 3 months.

Thanks for the response.

No, previously I didn't get a bump, even after 2 months, so I thought for sure it would have one this time.

I don't think the % you said is correct. I know another dev (way bigger than me) that has 100% rate of acceptance of devlogs, posts a update almost every single month and he proudly says it and gets a bump every single time. I know he is telling the truth since he shared the analytics.

I do not know the criteria. If they were straightforward, they could let an automatic do it.

The whole concept is ill designed. Tying it to a major devlog. What about the developer that regulary update their projects, but do not brag about it with a devlog. A devlog that in itself also can drive traffic to the game. And having regular updates for the typical patreon fueled game developerment each two weeks is not news. A switch from development to release is news. Releasing expansions is news. But run of the mill updates are just the progress that is to be expected for a game in development.

Some people even abuse the system. Or so they think. By re-uploading their game. I think they hurt themselves

They just should introduce a new category/sorting. One should be sorted by release date. And one by update date (with spam prevention)
