A CHUPACABRA INSPIRED HORROR GAME

(DEVLOG 1):

Hello!

I wanted to share a bit of the project I'm currently working on:

It's going to be a short horror game that takes place in a gas station.

Things are not as they seem, and there is something lurking out there... the thing is, people don't know if it's human or something else entirely!

Right now, I'm mainly working on designing the maps, but I'm really happy with how everything is coming together.

I’ll be sharing more updates soon. Thank you for checking in!

The art looks so good!

Gl on the project!

Thank you! I really like this tileset, hopefully I'll have more art to post soon!

DEVLOG 2

I've been working on the maps (they're all done) and setting the events.

Let me introduce you to some of the characters! (I may change their outfits in the future, let's see how I feel about that).

I still need to work on a few drawings, like the characters' faces for the dialogues and some cutscenes...

Here's a bit of the inside of the gas station with our protagonist!

It's going to be a short game, I just hope it's not too short :')

I'm having a great time making this little game, and I hope those who play it will enjoy it as well!

I don't have a release date yet, but I hope to have it finished before the end of May.

That's all for now. See you soon with another update!

This sounds awesome! I love horror games with that eerie vibe, and the gas station setting is always creepy! Plus it looks super cool. If you ever need help translating your game into Romanian, English, or Italian, I’d love to collaborate! I’m a translator with a degree in Translation & Interpretation, and I work on both paid and free projects (especially when the concept is this cool!). Feel free to reach out anytime – I’d be excited to help bring the chills to more players!
Cheers and good luck!

Hi! I'm not looking for any translations at the moment, but thank you for your interest!

DEVLOG 3

Hello!

I have something new to share:

This is the characters' face sheet.

The overall art of the game will have the same style (also, the tileset I'm using is by LimeZu but everything else will be drawn by me).

I thought it would take a lot of time to draw, but I managed to do it in a few hours, and I’m quite pleased!

Ah, I'm also working on the "bad guy", though I'm not sure what I should share here, I don't want to spoil anything!

*

That's all for now, till next time!

Hello! Here's a quick update.

I've been working hard on this little game -- I was going to say I worked on it all week but it's still Wednesday xD

I don't have a publishing date yet, but I'm really pleased with how things are coming together!

I already added the music and sound effects, and I'm done with the art for the game.

I still have some things to work on but, all in all, progress is going well.

*

Also, I decided to share a bit of a spoiler and tell you that the game has to do with the CHUPACABRA, but in a more original take on this legend/cryptid!

*

Let me share some drawings with you:

I like telling stories through images!

*

Although some elements, like the newspaper articles above, are written in Brazilian Portuguese (since the game takes place in Brazil), the entire game is still in English, so those who don't speak it won't need to worry!

That being said, one of my tasks is to create a Brazilian Portuguese version of the game. I'm currently exploring ways to have the game translated without doing it "manually", let's see how it goes!

*

See you next time!

Quick update: I finished the Portuguese translation! I did it manually and it didn’t take me too long ^^
