Why has my game been removed from the catalogue (new game selected)?

Hello technical support. My game was listed as one of the new games selected by itchio, but 5 days later it was removed.

I thought there must be something I'd done wrong, but I don't know what exactly. I checked until I realised it must be because I hadn't indicated that my game was NSFW.

So I redid the game and uploaded the new NSFW-free version today and I really hope that the moderator who tagged it NSFW can remove it and why not put my game back on itch.io's playlist of selected new games.

You can't imagine the joy I felt for the very first time in my life when my first real game was selected, but how sad to see myself removed from the selection when other NSFW games are there!

I sent an email to support with my ticket ID (269540). For any help.

My big question to the experts is why have I been withdrawn from the selection?

I'll let our admins know. In the mean time, the unofficial FAQ might help.

Big thanks.

Hello sir, the admins still haven't revoked the NSFW tag on my game even though I've redone my game and removed all NSFW content. Some players have told me that the game is marked with a warning for NSFW content. Can you help me get this fixed? Here is my ticket ID (269540)

Thanks in advance.

I already notified our admins ten days ago. There's nothing more I can do.

Your game is paid and I imagine that would complicate things. Also, if you removed content, you can always put it in again. If I were staff, I would refuse to remove the nsfw setting of that project. Oh, and your game description still hints at nsfw content. And people that downloaded it earlier, do still have a nsfw game.

You could have two versions of the game. Not change status of the existing game. Make the old project the project that people bought and maybe create a new project that is nsfw from the beginning.

Also, why is this paid and the files are named "demo"?

If you are talking about "fresh", I would assume that games get regularly removed from that list. Else it should be called Itch's favorites and not fresh. Scrolling a few pages and I saw a game from 2022. But I do not really know how rapidly this list changes, as I do not regularly look at it.
