Replayed this game some more. Some more suggestions.

An "interrupted" option for dialogue, where that dialogue interrupts the current chatbox when triggered (i.e. via escaping an enemy). I've always felt kinda weirded out when the teasy enemy dialogue kept going, even after escaping the enemy's grab.

A "Cosy" alternative animation sequence and additional dialogue lines that play (or have a chance to play, in the case of dialogue) when you have the endosomatic heart. Japes struggles inside Mirrim's mirror dimension... even while he's not taking damage. I would love to see him simply... cosy up, inside her. Additionally, an option to ignore the animation's speedup, if adding animations is not desired.

Adding onto the above, maybe more alternate animation cycle options depending on which status effect you enter the enemy with?

"Withered" effect added to the Item Giver (the Withered Heart that you get from that cactus enemy). I'm under the impression that it contributes towards absorption faster, so correct me if I'm wrong.

More plant enemies.

I want the ***** to be on a different button, and for there to be something in place (other than hunger) to encourage you to pace out your gun shots. And if we can't get a different slot for *****, at least let us turn if off.

Developer

Both of these are resolved next update!

Aw hell nah, Japes is gonna be packing a gun and a *****, and that's not even getting into the possible fire magic? I gotta pick up the pace or you people are gonna be the first in the world to make THAT kinda vore game.

Anyone play NO-SKIN? If you kept on reloading the game, the developer would warn you not to do it again, and if you did, you got punished for it. If CMCDev does not intend on people doing this, how about a similar check and punishment?

Developer

We don't intend on punishing the player for such, but we do plan on adding a reroll function.

Wow, it looks really lively here, maybe I should post something too....?

No-Hit Assistant Prompt

Place a balloon in the corner of the hall.
Japes can take it.

The balloon will burst when damage is taken,
serving as a reminder for players to check if they are still in a 'No-Hit' state, as there are situations where damage may not be easily noticeable, and HP can quickly return to full, making it possible for players to overlook it.

LOBBY

Okay, I know it's a bit weird.
Maybe we need a way to allow Japes to go and eat the lobby ghosts.....?!  *YOU MONS-
(I tried a bunch of times...  just can't do it!)

Of course, it can be left unrecorded in Ghostiary, as it would be cooler if it were a hidden content.
After all, it doesn't seem fair to have an unlimited health kit in the lobby. *WHAT DO YOU CALL THEM???

Sounds Kinda weird. Does it regenerate?

Also: new toggleable status effects: Rooms may have a Hex and a cursed ghost where you must eat that specific ghost, even after being spat out, to dispel it, otherwise, it'll jump to another ghost, but if it runs out, it jumps to the next room and gives stackable rewards.

JINXED: All curses have their positive traits removed, and all positive upgrades disabled.

TOO MUCH DOOBY: All ghosts look the same until you eat the odd one out.

ANTIMAGIC: Japes might be able to deal with some magical nullification, but his sub weapons can't!

FLIP FLOP: Projectiles that cause status effects instead deal damage, and vice versa!

ASTRAL PROJECTION: Your wand is reduced to the minimum level alongside the hexed ghost.

ALLERGIES: ALL ghosts deal damage when swallowing you!

regenerate..? what..?

What is "it"? Do you mean balloons?

Does the balloon come back in the same room after popping?

Oh this, I didn't make it clear.
In principle, Japes on each floor have the opportunity to pick up a balloon without leaving the lobby before.
Only one balloon per floor.

So... yes, balloons do not respawn.

I don't really think that's a good Idea then, on principle; I mean, if there was one balloon per room, and if you somehow avoided taking damage, you'd get goodies. I say somehow because you are kind of missing out if you don't let yourself take damage.

Uh, sorry, I'm not quite getting what you're trying to say.

What would you like to express?

You should be taking certain types of damage to trigger I-frames, so having a balloon that pops as soon as you take damage would be pointless.

It's meant to tell the player if they've been injured...

If we want to affect the actual game...
Then we should design a separate item or curse.

And honestly, I'm thinking, is it too late to suggest something now...?

It’s like..

"Oh, we’re finally about to finish this update, and then you come out with something…..?
Why didn’t you say this sooner?!
I really don’t want to work overtime! ughhHHHH - "

2.1 isn't the final update, and I figured that if they were to insert that kinda Sifu stuff, it would be an update long after they balanced everything to be as hard as possible

Developer

There's still plenty of time, don't worry!

Not sure if this counts as good news...
But anyway....

Yay
*clap clap clap clap clap clap clap - *

Developer

The balloon is to display whether your no-hit achievement eligibility is active, correct?

That's probably doable.

But the no-hit achievement is sooooo counter intuitive to the way the game is played on harder difficulties. You are always getting swallowed, escaping, I-framing, getting hit with projectiles, I-framing, bumping into ghosts, I-framing; It's just so much better to just play on easy, get the achievement, then never look back. I know you ain't adding in a dodge roll, or heaven forbid, a parry? Can't it just be an easter egg on for the halls, or toggleable?

What.....? That looks like some kind of action game.
Is this for Japes to defeat the ghosts with a wrestling....?

jkjk lol.

I think it's useful to give Japes a way to avoid ghosts.
Because sometimes it's pure bad luck to get stuck in a corner by ghosts... and then-
oops-

Then why not an extra joy? Getting out of bad luck situations at the cost of health is their precise function.

You can't give him a smart bomb because the one thing keeping you from using them, score, doesn't exist outside of stunting your upgrade progression.

And a parry or dodge roll would be disastrous because it would remove 90% of the need to position and manipulate enemies, or manage health. Japes is already barely affected by an amulet supposed to nullify him; we don't need him to turn into yet another character who can just block everything either.

Correct! Sir!
