Could I use Itch to sell game development courses?

I’m guessing the answer is yes, but I wanted to check and maybe get some insights.

Most game dev courses are sold on DRM-heavy platforms like Udemy, but I’d prefer to sell my content somewhere that aligns better with the direction I would like game development to strive towards (DRM Free).

Itch already is the house for game devs, beginners, indies and not so indies alike; so I was considering offering my courses here. The content would include videos, text materials, and project source code.

Possible Risks:

  • File size for videos – Most courses don’t need 4K ultra-high-res footage, so this shouldn’t be a huge issue.
  • File size for projects (Mostly Unreal Engine) – But then again, built Unreal Engine games are also massive, so this isn’t out of the ordinary.
  • No streaming option for videos – Since Itch is DRM-free, users would get a direct download link instead of a built-in streaming player. Personally, I see this as a plus—I like watching courses at 3x or 4x speed, and streaming often struggles to keep up.

So…

Would this be allowed? Should I list them under Assets, Tools, or just Other?

(Side thought: Maybe this is a category/tag waiting to exist?)

Sounds like it probably belongs in Other? Idk. That's where I put my educational projects. Not sure how many of those there are on itch.io, but if it's a significant amount, suggesting a new category might just make sense. Education is important.
