Well, this thought came to me thanks to the new ahem "amount of free time" I have now, so I decided to play the games I had left unfinished, and I found BioShock, and I don't know why I thought about whether Asterios could play it, that is, with a bigger controller for his hands, although I doubt it a bit, but I think it could still help him? What do you think?

Edit: Nope, I regret it

People, do you think it was good to put theories and lore here?

i think asterion would be into puzzle games. preferably ones that aren't violent much less gory, given his traumas.

Oh, I hadn't thought about it... And now I feel bad

or maybe something like The Sims

i just went with puzzles because labyrinths.

but i can see it given the hotel management stuff

Maby even the same thing "hotel management stuff"? something like hotel giant.... The kind of guy that works doing something but relax nearly the same way

Some kind of simultator to explore + the idea of the big controller. Maby something more easy to explore like ETS2 and then a big jump into planes to discover the world?

I feel like Asterion would enjoy logic/puzzle games, exploration games (since he is stuck in the Hotel for now, it might be a cool way to see the outside world), farming/simulator games...
I don't really see Asterion getting into violent video games considering everything he has been through... But I could be wrong

Edit: I bet he'd like Minecraft!

i do think he could be interested in something like gta if at least for the novelty of running around in modern cities. just as long as the violence isn't too graphic

Definitely not God Of War... we all know why

or Castlevania, since Minotaurs are a recurring enemy. Sad, since it's a great series.

we kill humans all the time in videogames, i doubt that'd be a problem. i just don't know how sensitive he would be to combat overall. how gory is too gory? castlevania at least has a parallel in that the dracula's castle is kinda like the hotel, being able to appear anywhere and reshape the internal layout, along with having been around across many generations.

oh wow, the valley even spawns monsters to specifically torture asterion. conceptually this could go really wrong, in hitting too close to home, or really great, as in him taking it as having a chance to fight back his traumas in a safe space.

Asterion is the minotaur, and the only one that ever existed (until Storm), so in a sense those enemies would be directly based on him thus he might take it a bit personally.

i don't think so. it sounds to me like doing mental gymnastics to make yourself offended. really i just can't tell how umconfortable he'd be with the graphics. castlevania is in that between spot that could go either way, the enemies just kinda burn out of the screen, but the aesthics are gothic

In the first God Of War there is a boss that is a Minotaur protecting the entrance to the underworld if I remember correctly, which will surely remind him of his own experience (not to mention the different enemy minotaurs that you kill throughout the Greek saga).

There is also the fact that you dedicate yourself to killing gods, among which are Hades and Hermes, which, knowing how devout Asterion is, would certainly not make him happy and would even horrify him. Not only because of the excessive violence, but because of everything you do throughout the trilogy.

my point was more towards killing generic minotaurs on castlevania. god of war would be pretty much blasphemeous towards everything he knows. it's a game about killing the whole olympus pantheon

Yeah, you are right about that. I thought you were referring to the GOW case. XD

outerwilds, bet.
