After talking about it in the general ideas thread, I decided to move forward with this completely ridiculous idea and see what happens: The Pro Wrestling Game Slam 2K19. The premise is very simple: Make a game telling a story about the on-screen or off-screen world of professional wrestling.

A collection of wrestling LARPs is something I've held onto for a very long time; originally, I planned to try and make an anthology, but recently realized a game jam would be a better fit for the project.

Very excited to see what people come up with for the jam.

I am working on something to submit to this, but I would also like to offer up myself as a resource. I have written extensively about wrestling, and am pretty well versed historically about it. If you want to ask me questions about specific periods in time within wrestling, specific wrestlers, or if you'd like recommendations of things to watch to help inspire you for specific themes, please feel free to contact me.

This is a Jam I'm super interested in, as myself and my partner are very into watching various wrestling promotions.  We plan on testing our pre-alpha concepts while we watch Wrestlemania! My one piece of advice for this: no storyline is too extra for pro wrestling! So go wild!

I'm going to make  belonging outside belonging game about a bunch of people who don't get wrestling but have tickets to a major wrestling event. Maybe? or dungeon wrestling. 

After I finished my first game design document for this one, I realized that I just was trying to remake World Wide Wrestling. Oops!
