Please let me know if you have any suggestions for the game, be it fetishes or scenes you like to see and let me know about any bugs you find in the demo that escape me and the testers i had looking into it.
1. After getting the shotgun from the car Reed and Makoto run into a zombie horde at the cemetery. If you go back to the cemetary building after the fight and then return, the script for the zombie horde repeats but the battle does not start, effectively creating a wall of zombies, softlocking you.
2. At the beginning you can get an unlimited supply of med kits and energy drinks in the camp. Which is nice. But probably not as intended.
3. There are a few places where you can walk through walls. (I only remember a part of the wall near the door leading to the storage rooms in the shop, though.
4. It is a bit awkward for Reed to spam Protect so the enemies will not infect the party members all the time, when Makoto is the only other member of the party. And does less damage than Reed. Adding one or two more members to the group soon would be neat. Or Protect not costing the action. Or Protect being a passive ability that costs energy either per turn or whenever a party member is attacked.
5. Highlighted objects on the map are often difficult to interact with somehow.
Thanks for the Reports! The Zombie horde is definitely missing a trigger there, i'll need to fix that!
And unlimited supply of med kits and energy drinks, gotta cut off that Sauce, lol.
yes i'm aware of a few walls that don't wish to retain solidity, trying to fix that up.
As for party members! the next update is switching things around with Karen taking makoto's place for a bit. I'm planning on reducing the infection attacks going forwards. soon you'll get Makoto and Karen and there are plans for 2 more party members.
The Highlighted Objects is more to alert you to a location of Interest rather then being the point of interest themselves. just to get you to notice save points or Entrances/exits. Might need to adjust them though if they aren't working as intended.
Glad to help a bit with the process!
With "Highlighted objects on the map are often difficult to interact with somehow" I meant that some of them do not trigger properly. For example, even after Claire mentioned she wants a weapon it took me several attempts from different angles and stepping away and returning to get a response clicking on the chainsaw.
1 add a quest log/tracker
2 no one else is saying it so i will. NERF the dogs in the first fight i got the axe equipped it and got 3 med kits. tried everything and cant win. why the hell you thought 5 dogs all doing up too 100 dmg was a good idea i will never know and now im hard locked and cant progress past one of the first fights of the game. no clue how anyone else here got passed it as its seems impossible
and no i dont want an explanation on how to win. as i should not need it. gameplay/combat should be intuitive. nerf the dogs. at bare minimum stop the second wave from being summoned. 3 dogs is more then enough
My first thoughts are that it should be slightly more clear where you're supposed to go at the beginning, like a button that makes the protagonist think about where to go. Or a quest log. Another is that the zombie sprites are tiny compared to the normal people. There seems to be an unlimited amount of energy drinks and medkits on day one but that's probably a good idea for a demo.
Maybe make it more clear if something's an item you can interact with, sign you can read, or other thing to examine. Also maybe use compass directions like west and north east instead of left and right side. I use mouse to move and this skips dialogue when it pops up, so maybe make it so you only advance dialogue while clicking a specific prompt.
Reading the journal after Reed wakes up in the room that begins "It's been days since They brought Reed in all bloody and bitten up" it then shows Reed using a different character sprite than his usual one. maybe it's old? also occurs when examining the old rope ladder outside that building
Dude... Can you make walkthrough or something in the setting which you can see the quests because I have short memory and forgot the quest mid quest. Also, I cannot find the shotgun and the car key even though I went to graveyard. I also don't think I unlocked all the scenes.
Overall, I love the game. Will wait for more.
Renaming the MC is not on the cards. People have mentioned a Quest Book before so i'm looking into it for a future release once i figure out what/how to do it.
As for the Infection system it's not broken but working exactly as intended. the Mushroom's fix the Infection, Reed can protect His party members to avoid it all together. Make sure you get geared up properly, help you kill them faster.
I have to strongly disagree with the infection system the protection ability for the MC does not work because you gotta sacrifice a turn from your main damage dealer to protect your healer/support which does a little damage to the enemies which makes battles very long and tedious,You need to increase it from one turn protection to two or three or make it a active ability which takes up mana or possibly the toadstools need to be increased or have the ability to regenerate either farming them or use them to make a potion or eat them so you have a time limit that you’re resistant to infection or you could try to lower the infection rate for enemies or maybe accessories or armor that lower the infection rate the game is too difficult when you’re trying to grind your way to get money and XP where your characters keep dying cause of infection i’m not the only one complaining about the infection rate. And the sex scenes could be a little bit longer. Art style is good. Other than that this game has great potential except for the infection system I would recommend it.
