Can you make and sell animated films on itch.io?

This is something I am asking out of both curiosity and future planning and consideration.
I do not want to use YouTube's monetization program because it is so finnicky and ridiculous, and I live in Pakistan and I worry that in the future, Patreon will cut even it's services (already most international funds services don't work in Pakistan like PayPal that means I can't use most services like Gumroad, Ko-Fi, Subscribestar etc.). I find Itch.io very helpful, and though I know it is made for indie games, I have seen people sell comics here, and I do wonder; is it possible to sell animated films (long and short) here too? Like say someone made a 20 minute short animated film, and charged 2$ for it per sale. Is that possible?

The regulations do not say anything that prohibits it, in fact, from what I understand it would be allowed.

Because itch.io lets users download the files exactly as you uploaded them you can upload any kind of project for any kind of platform. There are no restrictions.
We have classifications for tools, comics, books, soundtracks, assets, and physical games. If that’s not enough, you can even customize the noun by which itch.io refers to your project.

Note, Itch uses Paypal and Stripe as payment methods, if you say you live in a country where you have problems operating with Paypal, you may have the same restrictions to be able to sell and collect money on Itch. I recommend you review the documentation carefully.

To me a kinetic visual novel is basically an animation movie anyways ;-)

Having the thing on here is not the problem. The choice of payment processors and the lack of a video player are. You can't stream the movie from itch.

I don't mind being unable to stream it, just selling it as an MP4 download would be enough.

I had read that too, but I managed to get it working with my Payoneer. At least, thats what my settings tell me.
