sorry, but do you think it’s possible to get the best of both worlds of Outline and Pixel contour types conveniently?

i really like this converter you made, but minor issue is that some glyphs don’t get built properly. latest update that introduces Pixel contour type does fix it, but it feels a bit cheesy and i don’t really like that the exported font can get 3× larger

sorry for nitpicking. it’s probably not a big deal, but it feels wrong to me

It’s possible if someone fixes my algorithm to support shape-in-a-hole-in-a-shape kind of scenarios. It’s not exactly an unthinkable challenge, but I probably won’t get around to it too soon, hence the fallback option.

If you load generated font files from different tools into FontForge, you can see that “Pixel” is how everyone else have been doing this.

Isn't that solved? It is what your tool generated. And it is rendered normally

I haven’t touched that code in ages, so if this has been a Google Closure bug all along, that’s very funny.

You could try re-creating examples from here

i see.. thanks for the reply

Can you provide some examples? Please?

Examples of what? The tool loads a sample font when you open it
