I have a page for a demo version of a game. Can I start another page for the release version?

Hey all!

I have a page up for the demo version of a game I'm working on, Twilight Oracle:
https://cosmicvoid.itch.io/twilight-oracle

When the release version is ready (version 1.0), I'd like to create a new separate page for it. Is this acceptable? It will mean one page for the demo version (which is currently up), and a separate one for the release version.

One of the reasons I want to do this is because Itch only 'showcases' / 'features' your game when you launch the page. Since the page (with the demo) was launch a while back, the release version, when it is available, will not enjoy this much needed exposure that a game gets when Itch features it upon launch, unless I create a new page for it.

Thoughts? And is it acceptable?

Cheers,
Cosmic

This question was asked just recently but I can't find the topic right now. No, it's recommended that you use the same page, since you can easily have a demo and the completed game together. The boost from having a newly published page lasts very little anyway, and you can make a Major Release devlog to put your project back on the top.

I think you are referring to this post?

Thanks so much! So that's what I'll do.
