Even though it was mainly main names trying to assert dominance already, remember how most of your favorite games (unless japanese games and trying to hold an image with japanese consoles) used to release your favorite games on EVERY PLATFORM AVAILABLE? people talked trash still, but didn't deny the games their place.... think NFS on console, arcade, and even on gameboy, the gameboy version was damn good, but just a derezzed title and graphics were sacrificed a bit with maybe some new tracks, but the base experience was ultimately NFS, no cheap control gimmicks of simple taps and swipes, since the mobile space thinks thats all there is in modern day, literally phones that are "flagship" and filled with "features" yet we still call the platform "trash" instead of evolving it, but it had it's own thing and finctioned the EXACT SAME as home console NFS, with no lazy changes intended to push you to boredom and buying PCs or Consoles.
And this was coming from... EA, whom now people talk lots of crap about... Ironic. They just became what everyone else was.
The japanese are NOT the masters of gaming, Nor are the chinese trying to take that spot, nor is the west the "best" with God Lord emperor Microsoft and its huge chinese/indian corporate backing, and passiv free advertising from various sources. With the "independent" groups of besties from colleges and universities with superiority complexes and one man army syndrome of "solo development" to milk praises on what they don't even take seriously, to seem special. The corporate fraternity and secret society of graduates working in major game development studios have definiately poisoned the minds of many false independents who should be choosing to perfect and become a master of what they truly enjoy and use each other to advance and form new things.
Anyone can graduate, but not everyone is wired the same, and most aren't built different because I see too much sameness in all these so called creatives.
