[ Translation/Localization | German<>English ] Trying to gather some expirience in Game Localization

Hi there!

I am a hobby game developer (Godot) who is 30 years old, but the few small projects I have do not require localization.

My aim is to gain some experience in it, and perhaps, depending on the level of effort or workload, earn a little extra income through translation and localization.

Even though German is my primary language, I have always had a natural affinity for the English language.

Although I surround myself with a few English speakers, it's likely that I consume most media (games, movies, shows, etc.) in English that has the biggest impact on said affinity.

Knowing, writing and using a language is one thing but I want to get the hang of nuances and help people not to loose humor, context or important information in translation.

Just recently I earned a Cambridge certificate in advanced English (level C1) and am now looking to broaden my bilangual horizon by translating english to german or vice versa.

If you're interested, hit me up - either here or via Discord (niristius)

Hi!  What you're commenting sounds great! We are looking for people to help us localise our project Portrait of a Torn into as many languages as possible. (This would be unpaid but accredited work).

The Project: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3232990/Portrait_of_a_Torn__Demo/

Would you be interested?  If so, please write to us at indigostudios.contact@gmail.com

We look forward to hearing from you! :)
