Tab keeps crashing when I try to play

I only play browser games ( since I can't be bothered to download ). At the beginning ( about the first 2 or 3 games ) everything worked just fine, but now everytime I try to open a games page to play it, my tab instantly crashes ( I use firefox ). What is the issue?? My laptop works just fine, I have plenty of free space and storage, my internet connection is really good and no other websites crash.  Is it because I have windows 11 pro, or is my laptop not expensive enough? Do I need a gamer pc for this? I'm not even downloading! Is the problem with Itch.io or my laptop ToT?

Most of the browser games on itch.io require very little resources.  It won't be your PC or Windows version.

I just tried 4 browser games on Firefox and they all worked (two of mine, and two written by other people).

There might be a problem with the specific games you were trying to play - they could be crashing on start-up.

If you have the issue on a game you could previously play, then you could try to delete your browsing history from Firefox.  If it's only allocated x amount of space and that space is used up, you might struggle to open anything else in Firefox.

I have to disagree.  Depending on which OS and system I am on at the time, there are a lot of browser games on here I cannot play.  Those that cannot be played without webgl2 support, for instance, are completley inaccessible on one of my setups.  With that system, I would say I can play 1 of out every 3 or 4.

What do you mean by crash? Most browser games run on a potatoe. Did you get any error message, or did the browser window just dissappear?

Did you try with less addons or a different browser, as is the usual way of starting to find issues.

Also about:performance, type in as a website on ff.

If you say tab, does this mean you have different tabs open with different games? It has been a while, but when I did that, sometimes games would crash, when specific games where loaded. Some games did not play nice, so to speak. So I could have game a b c open, but if would combine game d with either of them, both would crash.
