Separate users for publishing and playing games on itch.io?

I'm seriously considering creating a dedicated itch.io user to publish my games, on game jams etc.
Do you recommend keeping your gamer user and your developer users separate?

Obviously it's a 1st world problem, but since I will probably keep using it for 5-10 years...

Thank you!

Some people do that, and it's okay if you don't abuse it, but you don't have to. Creators play games too, it's only natural.

Some people will click on your profile to see who you are. If you have a single profile, they'll see your games. If you use two profiles, you will find it more difficult to market your games because your activity won't automatically increase traffic to your itch.io page.

Thank you for the responses and mentioning the pros and cons.
In my case I don't mind so much using my real name as a developer but I'd rather be an anonymous gamer. Also, since I'm likely to be on different dev teams in different jams, I can't use something like "Jojo Games", I need a real name or pseudonym.

I've gone the single user route. Thanks again.
