Indexing my game? Is there a problem?

Hello. I posted my game 4 or 5 days ago: https://squirewaldo.itch.io/small-survivors

I am a new creator and I understand that it will take longer for my initial work to get indexed, however, I have the same question that many have:

Is this just a normal thing or did I screw something up? Do I need to sit back and relax or fix something that is wrong?

Thanks!

And yes I read the topic on getting-indexed before sending this post.

No, as explained in lots and lots of topics, your first paid game takes longer. Please wait.

Thank you for the feedback. I just saw 1 to 2 days, perhaps a little longer, and thought, "Maybe I should check!"

Yes, as explained in the same numerous topics, the FAQ is outdated in places. Sorry about that.

Sorry I commented here, but it is related to the topic.

Instead of repeating the same answer a thousand times, wouldn't it be more convenient to modify the FAQ?

I understand that maybe you don't have the permissions, but can't you comment directly to an administrator so they can modify it?

I know this sounds very obvious, but I check the forum often and I see that day after day, week after week, month after month, these questions are repeated over and over again.

The FAQ has been recently placed in a public repo, and I submitted a pull request right away, which was accepted at the time. Not sure why the changes haven't been made live yet.

That said, the question has been answered repeatedly in the forums, which have a search box, yet this question is often asked even when one or more similar topics are on the first page of this category. That's why we have a forum, so answers remain easy to find.

Your game has been quarantined. Please contact support, and in the future make your own topic instead of hijacking another. Thanks.

Hello again. I hate to be a bother, but there does appear to be something wrong with my first submission:

https://squirewaldo.itch.io/small-survivors

This morning I submitted another project, and it was indexed within an hour. However, Small Survivors is still not indexed. I have received no emails so I am curious is this something I can fix, or do I just go pound sand?

Again, thank you so much for your help!

Please wait a few more days, just to make sure. Thanks.

Ok. Thank you!

Hello again. Happy Holidays. I posted another little game and it indexed almost immediately. But this one seems stuck in the system.
https://squirewaldo.itch.io/small-survivors

I can speculate as to why, but I am not sure there is a point. Either someone just let this slip through the cracks or there is something wrong with it but no one has told me what.

I wonder if it is the subject matter? I would be surprised given the wide open nature of ITCHIO, and often offensive stuff that pops up. The game itself is about people being shrunk down to 2cm and then having to survive. The potentially contentious issue is how they were shrunk. But it is a dystopian story and dystopian stories are going to annoy someone. I just didn't think such a silly thing would gum up the works when some really offensive stuff is embraced.

Oh well. Its Christmas and Hanukkah and whatever else, and I just hope everyone has a great time. Eventually I am sure this will get sorted out one way or another.

As you pointed out, it's Christmas. Normally I'd suggest waiting until after the weekend, but given the circumstances I gave it a bump.

Thanks! Happy Holidays!

Fixed! Thanks. Enjoy the holidays!

Is the status "Published" same as indexed?

No. First you publish it, then they index it. And that seems to be taking a long time.

okay. got'cha
