Hey. I'm seeing some strange things on my analytics page. It says today i have had 2 views on my project yet i have 3 downloads? Also the CTR seems really high 4.11% I read somewhere that the average is somewhere like 0.6-2% Anyone know what's going on?

Even if your project only has one file, it's possible for people to retry a download several times. And a brand-new game will have more visibility, especially if it looks and sounds interesting from the description. Besides, averages are the most misleading kind of statistics. Some creators are quoting huge figures instead! Maybe your game is just successful?

Ah yeah that does make sense. Yeah i guess i can understand that. I'd say it's not the worst looking game in the world i guess people just like the look of it. It's been on itch.io for about a month now, i started with 2.3%-2.5% CTR but yesterday it jumped up from 2.7% to 3.8% and today it's now 4.11 it's just going up. I think i did change the project page a bit so i guess that must of done it. Thanks for the help

Also, in case someone else stumbles on this topic, it's possible for people to download your game from the app, a purchase page, or a jam submission page without incrementing the view counter on your page. So there are a few reasons why downloads count be larger than views, and it's nothing to be concerned about.

Okay thank you for the information :)
