So, we've been thinking of a brand-new game idea.

Basically, the objective is to drive your car to the finish line without dying. however, there are also enemy cars that will try to attack you as you move on. if you manage to complete every level you unlock endless mode, were you shoot enemies in waves endlessly.

how does it sound?

I can probably name tens of games similar to this. For one, Need for Speed: The Run, which has police cars, the mafia and competitors trying to catch or kill you while you’re driving.

yes, that is similar but, in this game, you can switch to action mode which allows you to shoot them back

The Matrix Awakens trailer released not long ago shows off something that sounds similar to this, though it is unknown whether this game will allow you to actually drive the vehicle in the game (not shown in the trailer).

in this game you drive the car whilst shooting

And the matrix thing is more of an experience. we are trying to make a game.

Tons of driving / racing games that also involve shooting, too. Starting with the Mario Kart series and all its clones. It can be a nice mechanic, if you want to make a game like that.
