Is there any way to control which version of the game is downloaded by default?

Yesterday one of the players complained that itch.io app by default downloads “obsolete” (game jam version, not the latest one) and “for wrong OS” (Windows version instead of Linux one). I tried it myself and indeed I can reproduce the behavior:

Is there a way to provide some additional metadata to the app, that the “Install” button will install something expected? I’ve tripple-checked all the metadata for the game and I don’t see any way to specify this information. I’ve also checked out Butler documentation, but the manifest seems to affect only an already-installed app, not the one yet to be downloaded.

Can anybody help me with this issue?

You could try uploading the file you want to be downloaded with butler, grasping at straws here though.

Yeah. Butler is what allows you to push multiple versions into one channel, unlike the web interface.

But, it will also make older versions impossible to download from the webpage, which is really disappointing.

Oh, many thanks! I’ll try butler then!
