Hello guys, I will go straigth to the point here.

I am finishing my game and I want to publish it here in the next 1 to 2 months.

I decided to check out the tax interview, and it seemed quite simple and straigthfoward, one questio emerged tho.

My name is Simão (portuguese) and the "~" is not accepted in the name. Is this going to be any kind of problem while itch.io check my identity with the tax in portugal? My legal name is Simão and not Simao.

Thanks for the help, guys.

If you have an ID or a Passport, does it have your name, but with english characters? I’ve seen this on countries that use a foreign alphabet, where your legal name on other countries is the one with the english characters, but not sure if the same rules apply for portuguese names.

I do not have a passport no... And it's just a single character a "~" all the other characters are usen in english alphabeth.

That's why its so frustrating...

It doesn’t matter how many characters there are. If you have a european ID, it will display your name in both your native language and in english. This is the case at least with a few european countries that I know about. That is basically your official name when dealing with english contracts.

If you don’t have an ID, maybe you can check with a professional.

my name  has  ` and  i have to use English version of it but this is only because Ángel is the same exact word as Angel so maybe yours is too.

Thanks, I looked it up and it seems it's normal to just lose the ~ and say Simao. Simon is also a option but it has a few more changes. I ges I will just lose the ~ and say Simao and hope for the best :)

Thanks for the help.
