I know itch.io is focused on games but we have other media here too and I'd like to know where I could start a thread where comic authors could post their projects and discuss it. I thought about the General thread, but I'm afraid of violating the rules.
Also if I want to open a thread to promote my own comics project, where would it go?

There are the 2D Art and 3D Art which are boards specifically to talk about artsy topics. I think that would be the best place to post about comics.

Make sure to read the rules from each individual board before posting.

I think posting in General Discussion is fine, but you make a good point: we should probably have a category for books, comics, mods and all the other things. Thanks!

Edit: oops, we both posted at the same time. The art categories might fit too, it depends. And you can post about a comic in Release Announcements for example, that definitely is for any kind of project.
