itch.io Mobile App?

Just an idea, but it would be cool if you guys made an itch.io mobile app. That way, developers could get their projects on mobile devices without having to pay a fee on google play. You could have a toggle to have the project on the app on the new project page, or automatically include the project if it has an apk download. I've been considering making a mobile game for a while, and this would be really helpful for developers like me. Thank you!

Hi r3sgame,

I just wanted to mention, that currently it is possible for mobile users to access the Itch.io website and download projects for their phones (.apk files for android). I can’t say if your idea will be considered, but don’t let that stop you from making awesome projects for mobile users :)

This is often requested, but our dev team would rather focus on making the site work better on mobile. There's an unofficial app. It's not the first attempt. But it doesn't do what you say. It would be outside the scope of Itch. On mobile, you can simply download and install an .apk file manually, or if it's open source submit it to F-Droid. Hope this helps.
