My request for a refund is processed, but I got charged second time.

I've bought a game Robin Morningwood Adventure by Grizzyly Gamer on itch.io. I requested a refund for the game because I also bought the game on Patreon and would like to have only 1 version of the game (Patreon version). The refund was processed. I got the email from the support team telling me that they have refunded me, and I can no longer access to the itch.io version of the game. However, I was charged the second time by $32 ( 1,027.62 Baht ). Is this supposed to happen in the refund? I have attached the screenshot of the email, and the screenshot from my bank account application to show that I was charged again.

If the refund was successful, I should get my $32 (or 1,027.62 THB) back, right? I do not understand why I was charged a second and I need an explanation, or clarification. Thank you in advance for any helps.

I've let an admin know.

Thank you. I am looking forward to a good news.

As mentioned in the support ticket, your refund has been processed and it may take a few days to fully post to your account. I would wait to see what happens, especially with banks that need to apply currency conversion, as there may be other things going on. For example, with card payments it’s common a hold is placed on an account before the funds are withdrawn, but the hold is always released back to you.

I have already contacted the bank. They said that they can look into the transaction, or what is going on on my account in the morning (it is night time here and I have to sleep before they contact me again). The bank also said that if my refund is already fully processed, I should receive an official receipt or document of your refund process. I have not received any kind of official document from your email yet. I will provide you the answer from the bank in the morning ( 6 hours from now )

The bank contacted me this morning. They said there is a refund in the system. However, it is only $32. What happen is that I was already charged for $32 for buying the game on 2nd of Octobor, and I was charged again for $32 when I received your email about the refund. Am I not supposed to get my $64 back? Only $32? I keep telling the bank that I was charged 2 times, but all they say is that the refund that I will get is only $32. Please forgive me that I am not familiar with your refund system. This is my first time asking for a refund on this website. But what happened happens, and I need explanation behind it

I replied to your ticket, but we only have 1 payment in our system for that amount that has been refunded. There is not a second 32 dollar payment, so there is nothing else we can do. If the debit doesn’t get resolved after waiting then you’re welcome to open a dispute with your card provider since this payment doesn’t appear to be related to anything we did.

Thanks

I sent you the email and attached my bank account statement of this month to show that my bank account was deducted by $32 on 27th of October under your store name (itch io). I have already asked the bank about this and they said it was all your doing. They had no control over the transactions. They are only the middleman of the transactions. I just asked the bank again a moment ago to look into 'your transaction' on 27th of October to see why I was charged again for $32 on that day. I've said before that the charging on 27th of October was processed under your name (ITCH IO - GAME STORE). I hope that you can look into the refund process/system and see what happens. Please check my email and my bank account statement because I really need you to know that I was charged again and there is an evident to show it.

Thank you

As I said previously, there is only one charge in our merchant account with the card processor for that card. There is nothing else we can do. If the second debit is not automatically resolved then you can open a dispute with your bank.

Thanks
