Jam not appeared in schedule after 5 days?

Hi,

Seen a few others have had this issue recently.
I published a game jam around 5 days ago and its still not appeared on the calendar.

I also emailed support a few days ago but had nothing back. I guess its a busy time because there's lots of halloween jams coming up (including mine) so its taking a while, or there's been a bug?

This is the jam -> https://itch.io/jam/spooky-2d-jam-2020

Thanks!

Theo

Same thing for me, posted two days ago: https://itch.io/jam/all-together

Jams have to be seen by an admin first, and the weekend always delays reviews. I've let an admin know just in case.

I appreciate the response but this issue is still happening. It's been a week now.

Is there anything more that can be done? I really don't want to sound petulant, but I put so much effort into my jam description and art work and the fact its till not public is very disheartening.

Thanks

Theo

Your jam is probably public, people should be able to see it, join and so on. It's just not on the calendar. And I'm afraid there's nobody else you can talk to beyond our admins. Sorry about that. Haven't heard a word.

Public was probably the wrong choice of word. It is indeed public and I've managed to get a few participants by sharing on Discord etc. But it doesn't have a hope of taking off without being on the calendar.

Is there a way I can contact the admins myself?

The only surefire way (that I know of) to inform an admin about bugs or other issues would be emailing support. Which you already did. Whatever else happens in these forums, that email is being processed.

I also agree that, even if an issue like this happens, it should not take this long to fix. …on its own that is. There is something going on. I want to suspect that either COVID19 is slowing them down or that dissatisfied/entitled customers who bought the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality are clogging support intentionally about a feature that they were already told they aren’t going to get… (Yepp: Some people are still bitter about that.)

But the truth is that we don’t know and it won’t help their situation to announce what’s going on*, because when talking to large groups of people on the internet, it seems to always make things worse to let them in on the details - especially when there is nothing they can do about it.

.* “So Steve and Karen from accounting have been frenchkissing behind their spouses respective backs… Then Lucy (also from accounting) caught them and wanted in on the action… And now all three of them had to be hospitalized…. Because money is involved, an admin now has to do all their work… But it takes them four times as long.” or something along those lines… ;)

Our admins hang out on the official Discord server, you can try there.
