Incorrect Geolocation

I'm attempting to buy a game, and during the purchase I'm asked to confirm my billing address because:

Due to 2015 VAT MOSS regulations for EU this seller requires evidence of buyer location for purchases. Please provide your billing address to continue.

So I confirm my billing address, which is in the UK, from my UK home (also my billing address), on my UK based IP address (no VPN, no proxy, or anything like that). And this is what I get:

Sorry, we can't accept your purchase at this time due to the updated 2015 VAT regulations. Your billing address does not match your purchase location (BE).

Which is unfortunate, seeing as I'm in the UK (which is where my billing address is and where my IP address is, according to every IP lookup tool and geolocation tool I've tried), and not Belgium, as your VAT checking tool claims.

Is there any chance of this being corrected or updated, so I can actually complete transactions?

That sounds like a bug or some entity on the line of communication messing up. Regardless, you should contact the support (support@itch.io), because that is a valid complaint if I’ve ever seen one…

Just a heads-up: Word of mouth is that the support team is pretty swamped right now. Maybe expect at least a 3-4 days wait until you ask if they’ve forgotten about you - adding to their workload.

This, and I've let an admin know too, just in case, since it's a money issue.

Thanks both. I've contacted support.
